Job Summary
The role serves as the primary link between the CD project team and local stakeholders and communities focusing on working with community groups to contribute towards the well- being of children and families. The CD Community Project Facilitator will assist the Project Coordinator in, implementing, monitoring and reporting CD program interventions at Area Program level for improved child wellbeing.
Location: Matibe AP x1, Nyashanu AP x1, Rusambo AP x1, Hwange West AP x1 & Umzingwane AP x1
Duties And Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation of planned Christian Discipleship (CD) activities using recommended models, techniques, standards and tools to achieve output targets within scope, time, and budget.
- Work with other technical program staff at Area Programme level to implement CD activities for improved integrated implementation for impact and scale.
- Perform administrative duties as required in implementation of activities.
- Work closely with the community and district partners such as the church to mobilize community in the implementation of activities in order to achieve sustainability of CD interventions.
- Work with Partners e.g AWANA, SU, ONE HOPE to ensure CD interventions are effective in Spiritually transforming children
- Communicate World Vision’s identity, mission, vision, values, policies and approaches to facilitate development processes to realize well-being of the children in the communities.
- Facilitate the interpretation and distribution of context appropriate CD Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for effective implementation.
- Produce activity, monthly, quarterly and monitoring reports as required in collaboration with the AM&E Facilitator.
- Measured progress, accountability and tracking the project’s progression, identification of project short comings and making corrective measures timely.
- Actively participate in feedback, reflection and learning activities for the project.
Qualifications And Expeerience
- Diploma in a relevant field (Social Sciences, Theology/Christian Education) and/or equivalent experience in handling organized Christian Education programs with minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Degree is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring and report writing
- Must have an appreciation of project management, community engagement, mobilisation, facilitating and donor engagement skills
- Must be a mature Christian.
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Capacity to function well in a team and contribute effectively to team efforts.
- Valid driving licence for vehicle/motorbike
