Summary

- Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluating financial documents for accuracy and compliance, set standards, policies, procedures and statutory regulations
- Identify the financial risk of the organisation and offer recommendations to Council to reduce the risk
- Identify accounts and financial record keeping processes that need improvement
- Determine ways to cut costs and improve financial performance of Council
- Strengthen Internal Controls, checks and balances
- Ensure timeous execution of external audits and compliance to Audit recommendations
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good critical thinking skills
- Excellent research and report writing skills
- Excellent knowledge of Pastel Accounting Package
Qualifications and Experience
- A first degree in Accounting, Auditing or equivalent from a reputable University
- At least 2 years' hands on experience in a similar role.
- Membership of a Professional Body an added advantage
- Class 4 drivers licence.
