Job Description

To provide education technical support in the implementation of the “Scaling up Adolescent Personal leadership skills Development, Voice, and Agency (PCTFI)” through facilitating for capacity building and support to Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education(MoPSE) that ensures independent and sustainable implementation of the project initiatives in line with agreed Donor and MoPSE requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Reviews project documentation from Team leader (e.g., proposal, Annual Operating Plan, log frame, work plan) and ensures quality control on educational programming.
  • Contributes to the development of overall project implementation plans which falls under his or her role (including procurement, financial and vehicle use and other resource) that are responsive to the project needs and shares with Team Leader.
  • Leads in the implementation and promotion of life skills acquisition through the Adolescent Development Model (ADM) and teacher training workshops based on project models.
  • Conducts Sensitization and capacity building workshops with the MoPSE National, Provincial and District officials on the use of the ADM to support the delivery of G&C lessons.
  • Leads in the rolling out of the Participatory Score Card (CSC) sessions in project participating schools.
  • Provides input on the development of relevant M&E tools for process monitoring, including monitoring of quality delivery and fidelity of implementation working in close coordination with the CUSA & Specialists and the project MEAL Officer.
  • Utilizes monitoring data to review and refine project approaches, and to identify challenges to fidelity of implementation.
  • Participates in quarterly and annual report writing sessions for donor submission, including leading on the development of certain sections of the report as required.
  • Establishes and maintains relevant district level relationship with key stakeholders (e.g., MoPSE, Gender) in furtherance of his/her work in close collaboration with the Team Leader.
  • Ensures that IASC core principles and Safeguarding standards are met and maintained accordingly during project planning and implementation.

Qualifications And Experience


  • Bachelor's degree required (master's degree would be an added advantage) in education or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a leadership or management position providing technical support to partner staff for ASRH, financial literacy and Leadership components
  • Experience with participatory learning and teaching pedagogy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the education environment of Zimbabwe.
  • Experience working with groups in supporting education initiatives.
  • Understanding of the Zimbabwean education policy and new curriculum framework.
  • Strong skills in the application of participatory learning and teaching pedagogy.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
