The Public Service Commission is inviting applications to fill the vacant post of  Director, Content Development in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services 


REPORTS TO Chief Director, Government Messaging and Programs

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop a balanced multimedia production plan and strategy for the Coun d for Public Sector (print, audio-visual/electronic).
  • Coordinate the packaging of communication material for user directorates of Ru and International Communication Services.
  • Build an appropriate information and communication technology platforms as well as technological solutions for quicker information dissemination, both internally and externally.
  • Develop a dynamic internet-based information platform.
  • Plan and host commemorative events and activities that engender nation-building, national identity marking and defining, self-belief, cohesion and confidence in the future.
  • Build and expand a publications unit for promotional material.
  • Design the layout and production of print material for public and international communication in the national and international languages.
  • Develop and build a multi-media library/public library.
  • Develop photographic and photo/audio-visual library for the country and public sector. 

Qualifications, Experience And Attributes

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism/New Media/Public Communication/Information Technology.
  • Master's Degree in BroadcastJournalism/New Media/Public Communication is added advantage.
  • At least 2 years' experience at Deputy Director grade or equivalent.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience preferably with local and international media organizations.
  • Qualification in media management or general management will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of IT-based media applications a must
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • A clean class four driver's license would be an added advantage.
