Summary
The SIRDC, a Research & Development (R & D) and Technology Transfer organization, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the above senior position:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Directing the effective delivery of research and development programmes in Biotechnology.
- Providing leadership that motivates staff in their work.
- Ensure implementation ofthe Stage Gate Process in all Institute activities.
- To promote the good image of BRI.
- Marketing Institute services and generation of revenue from contract research and consultancy work.
- To provide management and budget control in the Institute's projects.
- To promote networking of BRI with similar bodies at both the national and international levels. Preparing technical reports and making presentations.
- Performing such other functions that Management may assign from time to time,
Qualifications and Experience
- A PhD qualification and at least 10 years solid working experience in an R & D institution or in industry.
- Applicants must have demonstrable leadership qualities to lead research staff and ability to manage research programmes.
