Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Digital Marketing Manager to join the OM Fintech business in Zimbabwe. The individual will be responsible for driving the OM Fintech Digital marketing strategy, conceptualisation and implementation of fit-fit-customer engagement technics, working with the Adoption team to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer journey in the digital experience and keeping the business abreast of emerging trends in the local and international markets,

By defining how the customers behave on digital and content consumption level to drive awareness and engagement, the incumbent drive digital marketing initiatives for the OM Fintech business that provide optimal value to customers. 

It will be very important that the incumbent understands the Digital Marketing space, has a technical understanding of digital transformation including product development and customer journey formulation, business acumen and any other support involved to properly:

  • Define the digital marketing strategy, roadmap and key performance indicator targets,
  • Gather, manage and prioritize market insights from customers and competitors with exceptional knowledge of existing industries,
  • Driving customer awareness, engagement and conversion from the digital marketing touchpoints the Business’ digital channels in a commercialised and profitable model.

By creating and communicating a clear Go-to-Market plan, the Digital Marketing Manager will focus their efforts on delivering the best possible customer engagement value while working closely with the Marketing, Adoption and Customer Experience teams to best meet customer and business needs.

Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Developing the predominate digital marketing strategy and plan for the OM FinTech Business in alignment to the Business’ acquisition overall strategy.
  • Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence.
  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Where relevant, assist with the design, development and implementation of customer needs schemes and product development and management supporting Integrated Financial Services aspirations and implementation.
  • Planning and driving Go-To-Market and product launches in conjunction with Group Marketing and Product Managers.
  • Keeping social platforms content up to date and optimising SEO; designing and creating curated landing pages content for customers with intuitive web-crawl tracking to support campaigns and online initiatives.
  • Managing the digital product life cycle and psychological perception while adjusting the product marketing mix and customer lifetime value.
  • Transforming the World of Today into the World of Tomorrow through robust market research and conceptualisation of merging consumer behaviours and trends- psychological, social, mental, and financial.
  • Tracking performance and monitoring key performance indicators of customer engagement on digital touchpoints including social pages for conversions on key call to actions.
  • Managing the cost per lead, cost per conversion and net promoter score of the OM Fintech brand.
  • Ensuring that the Business solutions remain relevant and robust in terms of product features, underwriting and claims practices by cascading customer feedback and insights into the design process.
  • Understanding the commercial outcomes of the digital marketing efforts for the business and aligning Product Managers to converged marketing efforts.
  • Monitoring and tracking of rolled out campaigns for the Business on the digital touchpoints to track key engagement indicators.
  • Providing stakeholders with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports of customer engagements ad impressions of set campaigns.
  • Working with the Adoption team to review, monitor, identify and address variances of actual Active Digital Users to the set budget monthly.
  • Keeping up to date with competitor activity and industry forces that may affect the strategic approach of all product solutions within the OM FinTech business.
  • Managing the marketing budget across the lines of business and products in the Fintech space.

Building Strong Brand Equity for the Fintech

  • Responsible for developing brand strategies for the Fintech business, that promote brand growth and expansion.
  • Implement brand plans using data driven strategies to drive volume and profitability.
  • Own the development of brand messaging to own brand narrative

Stakeholder Management:

  • Being the “communications design authority” (in conjunction with the value chain partners - Service, Customer Experience, Digital and Data, and Marketing) of the digital creatives and communication of the digital product solutions.
  • Overseeing the engagement, contractual and SLA sign offs with Marketing Agencies and ensuring adherence to these.
  • Liaising with external Agencies to arrange provision of social creatives and visuals, promotional/advertising material and other media.
  • Working with all stakeholders including Product Managers to determine the product roll-out plans.
  • Engaging where required with industry bodies, regulators and the media in a PR function for the Business.
  • Present product performance report on digital touchpoints, research and feasibility reports based on consumer insights and trend analysis reports.

  • Global and local market research and emerging trends analysis regarding all Business product propositions and solutions
  • Continually reviewing, identifying and promoting best practices and opportunities for improvement to the customer engagement processes and digital marketing campaigns based on observation and lessons learned.

People Management:

  • Managing and leading life product resources within the business across a cross-functional team while nurturing a customer-driven communication culture.
  • Developing skills, competencies and ensuring continuous support of life product resources in conjunction with Human Capital.
