Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above position which has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa, Harare campus. The Deputy Registrar, Academic reports to the Registrar.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervising the processes of student admissions, registrations and records.
- Overseeing the smooth administration of examinations.
- Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students.
- Building secure student data files and setting policies and procedures for their responsible use.
- Developing, interpreting and enforcing policies and regulations on academic affairs.
- Monitoring the University’s long and short-term plans in accordance with its strategy.
- Developing the academic registry departmental budget.
- Maintaining up-to-date course schedules, catalogues and final examination schedules;
- Supervising and maintaining the degree audit systems.
- Supervising the processes for the articulation of credits accumulation and transfer, graduation and certification of Bachelors and Masters degrees, enrolment and degree verification and
- Supervising junior staff in the Academic Registry Section.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Management, Administration or related discipline from a reputable university.
- The ideal candidate must have served as Assistant/Senior Assistant Registrar/ Senior Administrator or above for at least five (5) years in a university or educational institution.
- Good communication, presentation and leadership skills.
