Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above post that have arisen in the University.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Transportation of students, staff, delegates and approved passengers on official duty.
• Drive University fleet vehicles delivering provisions, documents and materials.
• Safekeeping of bus and vehicle accessories that includes the vehicle log book and tools.
• Ensuring that vehicles are fit to carry passengers in adherence with the Vehicle Inspection Department requirements.
• Periodic production of mileage returns.
• Cleaning of vehicles as well as the washing bay and
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Transport Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Applicants must be mature and experienced and must possess five (5) Ordinary Level passes including English Language; a valid Class Two (2) Driver’s Licence.
• A valid Defensive Driving certificate is an added advantage. Applicants should have at least three (3) years’ related work experience.
