Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above post.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
  • Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
  • Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining local networks.
  • Organising and scheduling upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
  • Troubleshooting to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining hardware and software inventory.
  • Supervising Technicians;
  • Manning Computer Laboratories.
  • Training users.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent plus three (3) years relevant working experience or a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent plus five (5) relevant working experience.
  • In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
  • Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CompTIA A+, MTA, CCNA, or LPI certification will be an added advantage.
