Job Description:
Wanted is a Chief Executive Officer to join an organisation in the Mining sector in Harare . Candidates invited to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy Execution
- Lead in the development and implementation of the organisation’s strategy within the Board’s mandate.
- Ensure internal organisational alignment on Strategy.
- Ensure delivery of the organisation’s mandate.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage execution of the organisation’s budget.
- Funding and Treasury management to meet the organisational programs.
Financial reporting
- Design, develop, implement and oversee the sustainable growth of the organisation’s income generating and local enterprise development projects, operating within Board approved parameters.
- Manage the organisations resources and ensure their effective deployment.
People Leadership
- Provide leadership to a cross-disciplinnary team with a shared vision to deliver on the organisation’s objectives.
- Build capacity and oversee growth of employees to ensure sustainable roll out of programs that impact the community in its diversity (including women, youth and people with disability).
Stakeholder Management
- Carry out periodic community needs assessments, evaluations and subsequent capacity building of communities.
- Must have excellent communication skills and sound stakeholder engagement and resource mobilisation skills.
- Develop and nurture key national and international stakeholder relationships relevant to the organization.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure timely reporting to the Board.
- Ensure high-level integrity, transparency, and accountability in all forms of business interaction.
- Ensure effective risk management and controls to safe- guard the organisation and its assets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Business Management or equivalent qualification
- MBA or other relevant Master’s degree will be an added advantage
- Membership of a recognized and relevant professional institution
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, of which 3 should be at managerial level
