Introduction
Faith Foundation (FF) Zimbabwe is a local organisation seeking to recruit new board members to join its Board of Trustees. While the roles are unpaid voluntary positions, this is an opportunity to guide and direct a dynamic team that is passionate about making a meaningful socio-economic impact. Board members are expected to attend 3 board meetings per year, but also to participate in the life of the organization between board meetings, engaging with the staff team contributing their valuable experience in their field and acting in an ambassadorial role for the organisation.
About FF Zimbabwe
FF Zimbabwe seeks to empower adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Zimbabwe socially, economically, and psychologically through the use of targeted interventions.
FF Zimbabwe's goals are:
To equip AGYW with skills to reduce social risks and become economically active; To promote and teach self-sustainability; Contribute towards SDG's 1 (No poverty) & 5 (Gender equality); To empower AGYW with knowledge to make informed choices about their health; and To promote equality and social justice in society. Our programs focus on empowering AGYW through knowledge, skills and resources.
About the roles
We are seeking to recruit board members and expect that will bring a range of skills and experience in the following:
- Girls and women's rights, Finance, Resource Mobilization, Youth Engagement, Community Development, Human Resources, Finance And Accounting, Fundraising, Law.
- Full board compliment will represent knowledge and experience in advancing the rights of girls and young women, and development.
- A recognized qualification in the respective area(s) of specialty and working experience in the area of expertise and programming.
- Availability and willingness to fulfil board member duties. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted and receive terms of reference.
