Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above post.

The Business Analyst's role is to analyse and monitor distribution channels. Determines and documents business requirements and works with design and implementation staff to design and implement solutions within constraints. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyses past, present and future business and competitive environment.
  • Works closely with Business Development, ICT and Marketing to design and implement solutions.
  • Supervises all distribution channels through stakeholder management and ensures all processes and procedures meet standards.
  • Tests systems and user acceptance and  monitors implementation of  changes or new applications.
  • Analyses, investigates and defines requirements for business processes.
  • Renders support and facilitates sessions for end-users, including training.
  • Tests systems and user acceptance, and implements changes or new applications.
  • Ensures all testing protocols are adhered to.
  • Investigates and defines requirements for business processes.
  • Solution Design and Implementation
  • Works closely with the systems analyst and project manager to design and implement the best possible solution within the constraints of the tools available.
  • Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
  • Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months.
  • Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.
  • Accepts and lives the company values.
  • Supports all distribution channels on stakeholder management, quotations and presentations.
  • Analyses past, present and future business environment an products relevance.
  • Analyses business channels and products  to determine problems, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Renders support and facilitates sessions for business providers (excluding brokers), including training.
  • Supports with quotations after risk analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree (B): Business Management (Required), Bachelors Degree (B): Insurance And Risk Management.
  • Degree in Risk and Insurance, Business Management or related.
  • Associate in Insurance qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Up to 3 years experience in insurance with some exposure to business development.
  • Skills & Competencies.
