Job Summary

Tsholotsho Rural District Council is looking for qualified candidates to fill the positon above.

Duties And Responsibilities 

  • To prepare the council's annual financial statements and have these ready for audit within the time frame in relevant legislation
  • ➢ To respond to audit reports (internal/external) within a reasonable time from the date of receipt.
  • ➢ To implement audit recommendations about Treasury Department
  • To prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • To prepare the departmental budgets
  • To prepare monthly cash flow projections and the actual funds flow statements
  • Maintain loans and investment registers so they are kept up to date monthly
  • To supervise departmental staff deployment, performance, and development
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by Treasurer and management from time to time
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly statutory returns and submit them on time 

Qualification And Experience

  • Five (5) '0' Levels, including English and Maths

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent

  • Knowledge of Sage Evolution ERP is a distinct advantage

  • At least three (3) years of experience working in an Accounting Environment

  • Knowledge of Ms. Excel, Ms. Word, and PowerPoint

  • Able to identify and align with the council's core values, transparency, accountability, respect, honesty, integrity, and teamwork
