Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily supervision of the Capital Infrastructure Projects Accounting Function
- Preparation of Capital and Infrastructure Projects Financial Statements on a monthly basis and timeously
- Liaison with Engineering, Infrastructure and Estates and other relevant departments on issues related to Projects’ finances and budgets
- Recommend Internal Control Systems improvements in Projects’ financial operations
- Capital Budgets Preparation
- Undertaking Capital Investment Appraisal
- Liaison with Government on issues related to funding for Infrastructure Projects, including timeous preparation of Projects Acquittal documents for submission
- Ensuring proper safekeeping of all accounting records
- Any other duties as assigned by the Bursar or Deputy Bursar
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Accounting from a reputable University
- Possession of a professional Accounting Qualification
- Masters’ Degree in Accounting would be an added advantage
- Extensive Practical knowledge of Pastel Evolution Accounting System
- Costing background a must
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position / role
- Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
