The City of Harare has announced that it will be temporarily closing the intersection of Samora and Rotten Row Road this Saturday to pave way for emergency maintenance works on water and road infrastructure.
While others commended the local government authority for mulling the move, some said Harare could have done the maintenance at night to ensure minimal interruption to business. Pindula News presents the city’s notice:

Dear Residents
The intersection of Samora Machel and Rotten Row Road will this Saturday 8 January be temporarily closed at 0600hrs until 1800hrs on Sunday to allow for emergency maintenance works on water and road infrastructure.
Water supply disruptions will be effected periodically to address similar challenges in other areas experiencing water losses. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use alternative routes that do not disturb the scheduled works. Any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.
