Gokwe Man Seeks To Bar Chamisa From MDC

A Zim Morning Post report claims that a Gokwe man Ashley Mutungure has approached the High Court challenging the legality of Nelson Chamisa’ presidency of the MDC.

The matter was set to be heard on Thursday morning by High Court judge Justice Mushore.

Mutungure is seeking the Court to bar Chamisa from representing the MDC in any capacity, to block him from interfering with party structures and for the secretary general to call for an extraordinary congress.

Chamisa was made MDC Alliance substantial president by the National Executive Council on February 15 2018, a day after the death of Morgan Tsvangirai who succumbed to cancer of the colony on February 2018.

Prior to that, Chamisa had been vice president together with Thokozani Khupe.
