Free Transport For Shopping Trips For Civil Servants

Free Transport For Shopping Trips For Civil Servants

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced that civil servants in rural areas will be provided with free transport for shopping every Saturday after a payday every month starting this month.

In a notice, the PSC revealed that teachers will be the first to start enjoying the facility, with the rest of the civil servants following on 26 February.

Starting this Saturday, a bus from Kotwa will pick up people at BSPZ leaving at 6:30 am and arrive in Harare at Fourth Street near Mukwati Building at 0900hrs while returning at 3 pm. Read part of the notice:

The PSC wishes to inform civil servants that it will be providing transport for shopping to civil servants every Saturday after a payday monthly from February 2022 onwards.

Civil servants who wish to enjoy this facility are required to carry their payslips and national IDs with them and it should be noted that the facility is free for now.

This new incentive for civil servants comes after the Government awarded them a 20 per cent salary increment backdated to 1 January, plus US$100 from the employees’ local currency component.

Teachers will receive school fees support for up to three biological children and also be allowed to import vehicles duty-free.

Therefore teachers still have a reason to declare incapacitation
hapana mari apo its just 100us deducted from the rtgs component thus 175us + a balance of 5000RTGS

I RECOMMEND THAT GOVERNMENT GIVES ITS WORKERS, INCLUDING TEACHERS, A TRANSPORT ALLOWANCES TO CUSHION THEM ON TRANSPORT HASSLES.

ITS WORKERS WANT HARD CASH NOT BUSES, WITH WHICH THEY WILL ALSO HELP THEIR RELATIVES. BUSES WILL NOT HELP THEIR RELATIVES AND CHILDREN.

Teachers don't need buses, they need money for shopping at their own time and day.Even if you are given free transport,if you don't have the money for shopping it's a non-event.

To @ngorima mushava you don't drink poison when you're thirsty.
The same way you won't be distracted by nonsensical offers when you're really determined for something

Thus stupid it was better to give them transport allowance than to give them time to go for shopping . Everyone one have the right to travel for shopping on what ever time he or she wishes if not working day or working hours . If you say they will picked up at 06:30 you are giving them time to travel and arrive at 09:00 and return back at 15: 00 it's not fair some didn't want to spend much time in town they will want to do one or two things and return . It will be a punishment for those who want to return home quickly. Not all of them who want to do shopping in Harare some prefer Bulawayo , Mutare , Chiredzi and you are referring them to Harare thus Monopoly . It's better to give them transport allowance .
