Former U.S. President Barak Obama Contracts COVID-19

A former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, Sunday announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was feeling fine other than a scratchy throat.

Obama, who is the first black president of the USA, posted on Twitter:

I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple (of) days, but am feeling fine otherwise. Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative. It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.

Doctors say they’ve been seeing so many Omicron patients complaining of “scratchy throat,” therefore, if one has this symptom, even in the absence of cough or fever, it is advisable to “strongly consider that you may be infected.”

The coronavirus hit the United States in mid-March 2020, and cases started to soar at an alarming rate. The country has performed a high number of COVID-19 tests, and has administered lots of vaccinations.

As of March 12, 2022, almost 79 million confirmed cases of coronavirus had been reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the United States.

While some argue that vaccines are not working, health experts say a vaccine is not a spacesuit, therefore, it can’t stop the virus from entering your body, but it hugely improves your body’s ability to fight it and the speed with which it does so.

They also observe that NO vaccine prevents viruses from infecting you, they prevent them from severely sickening and killing you.

The number of new COVID-19 cases and deaths has continued to decline worldwide in the recent past, prompting some to project that the world might be out of the woods soon.
