Church Of Drunkards Donates To Orphanage

Church Of Drunkards Donates To Orphanage

Ziva Mwari Congregation Church (ZMCC) says it has a heart for the poor and suffering and has since donated some goodies to the Masembura Orphanage Centre in Bindura.

ZMCC was launched a few weeks ago in the Mashonaland Central provincial capital and claims to have more than 100 devoted members in its ranks.

The church’s membership is drawn from people who habitually drink beer and smoke cigarettes but also want to spend an hour every Sunday worshipping.

The congregants meet every Sunday between 9-10 am at a neglected bar in Bindura and during their time of worship, no drinking and smoking are allowed.

Speaking in an interview with H-Metro, Richard Twabi, who is the pioneer, said they have a different approach from mainline denominations. Said Twabi:

We have a different approach altogether. As ZMCC, we want society to understand that it’s not all about beer and smoking, we are also responsible.

Despite the fact that we drink beer, we are a loving and caring community, which also feels for others.

ZMCC recently donated clothes, bags of maize, sanitary wear and various foodstuffs to the orphanage.

The church also committed itself to pay school fees for some kids, at the orphanage, from their church offerings. Added Twabi:

We also pledged to repair a leaking Jojo tank, paint the dining room and also clean up the centre.

The congregants are also planning to visit those behind bars at Bindura Prison where they will preach the gospel to help them reform.

I condemn this church in the name of Count Dracula. They have no right to parade themselves as crusaders of righteousness. May they recant their donation for the sake of dignity. That's exactly how Zanu PF operates by throwing a smoke screen of gifts.

Yours sincerely

Jesus assosiated with them in order to change them. It was for them to repent from their works. In this case there is no plan of repentance they want to comfort themselves in their sin.

@Bush Lier. You have no right to condemn anyone or anything. Judge not for ye not to be judged. Remember, Jesus fellowshiped with libertines, harlots, tax collectors & the like. Who knows? This could be the Alcoholics path to ultimate salvation. Jesus also said love thy neighbour... Even if the neigbour is an Alcoholic. Joice Meyer was once a prostitute, but bow she is an influencial international Evangelist.

Faith without works is dead The Alcoholics are responsible & charitable. Even kumabhawa zvidhakwa zvine love. They drink from the same cup & share cigarettes. Thats koinonia - true fellowship amongst children of God. At the last super, Jesus symbolically transubstantiated wine into his blood & said always do this in rememberebce of me. Unlike some prophets who collect offerings, tithes & seeds and enrich themselves without giving to the poor; the alcoholics have demonstrated that love is the true religion.

Your gods are dead. Prayers are words lost in space, whispering of a dire people forged for misery. I traversed in the mind of yours and found loneliness and terror.

I neither drink nor smoke & am a defender of the Christian faith.
I believe Christ is there for every sinner who acknowledges his SIN & is willing to REPENT.
Justifying a sinful life is now way to enter the kingdom of God.
The right of association & of worship is not a prerequisite to forgiveness...

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 14
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

What are the needs of a sinner.? A sinner needs to know that Jesus is the lord. 2cor 5v17.if any man be in christ he is a new creation. All that is need Ed is to be born again, accepting Jesus christ as your lord and personal savior. Apana parikunzi if any man don't drink beer is a new creation. Only turning to christ by accepting him as your lord and personal savour is all that is needed. Please don't give us the hypocrites doctrine of holier than thou, even those practising it failed to adhere.

Mazibeka 1 month ago

@joe brown. Hanzi aripindwe nema basa asi nenyasha. You condemn those sins you see like drinking what about promiscuity, murder, and er, jealousy and hatred? Remember all sins are equal before the lord. Do not judge. When you judge you remind God of your own weaknesses. Hanzi the law was put to condemn you. Without the law there was no sin.ethe law condemned the israélites to death but Jesus christ came withe the new dispensation of grace and the finished work. What is the finished work? Jesus christ died for us on the cross, he paid our debt, so that we become free. All you need to do is to believe that lesus is lord and you are saved. We haven't heart where the scripture says you don't have to drink to be a it conerlius or Paul, when hungry, God brings to him a basket full of various animals, even those that were not allowed to eat in mosaic law. God says eat. It is not what you eat that défilés you but what is inside your heart. Even at the wedding of Cana, Jesus turned water into wine to show you a'd me that the needs of our fellwbeings and theIr joy is the most important. If beer is what makes them feel good so let it be. It's not in their drink but in their heart. Someone asks how many times should I forgive, Jesus says 77x77thouand times, meaning lifetime forgiveness. Jesus has forgiven me the sins I have committed, even those I will commit tommorow. He know me, he created me and knows my weakness. I better drink my beer while worshiping him in truth than to pretend to be holy and be man pleasers while rejected by God. In Isa 1 v18 he says come let us reason together no matter how bad are your sins he is prepared to forgive you. They is no condition for those who are coming. Andinambonzva kuchitaurwa kunzi varikuita musanwe Doro. Ndeipi scripture mubibile inoti Doro rakashata. Even Paul recommends beer. He says to Timothy. Timothy take wine for your ailing who are you to condemn it. All the kings in the ot were drunkards. Show me one who didn't drink
