CCC Is Operating Illegally, Like A Secret Society, Says Jonathan Moyo

Exiled former ZANU PF politburo member, Jonathan Moyo, says the Nelson Chamisa-led Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) is operating illegally.

From being an ardent supporter of CCC, formerly MDC Alliance, Moyo has been mocking the opposition party and its leaders on social media over the past few weeks.

Posting on Twitter this Sunday, Moyo said the fact that CCC does not have a constitution, structures and elected leadership means that it is operating illegally. Wrote Moyo:

It’s a confirmed fact that #CCC says it’s a brand new party with no founding process (e.g, congress); no constitution, no structures and no elected leadership. This fact means #CCC is operating illegally, like a secret society. It’s not a dirty tactic to point this fact out!

Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono accused Moyo of malice, saying the exiled former cabinet minister has a hidden agenda against CCC. Said Chin’ono:

This tweet by @ProfJNMoyo is a massive FALSEHOOD, and the person who penned it knows that they have posted a big FALSEHOOD. Why? Only time will tell!

It is therefore fair for @CCCZimbabwe supporters to say the tweet is malicious and meant to destroy and not encourage discourse!

CCC was launched early this year and performed well in the 26 Marc by-elections.

Out of the 28 parliamentary seats, CCC got 19 and ZANU PF got only nine.

Out of 105 Council seats, CCC won 75 and ZANU-PF got only 22.
