Thousands of home-seekers have over the years been left counting their losses after their houses and other structures were demolished by local government authorities nationwide.
Authorities argue that the structures would have been erected on illegally acquired land or on undesignated sites.
They have been urging land seekers to approach relevant local government authorities to verify availability and authenticity before acquiring a piece of land to avoid losing their hard-earned money.
